DDP means Delivered Duty Paid. Our DDP prices include shipping and all import duties and taxes for the agreed shipment. These are paid within the service; the goods are not made tax-exempt.
All import duties and taxes for the agreed shipment are included in the DDP rate. The recipient is not left to settle those import charges on arrival.
The DDU transport rate excludes import duties and taxes. The recipient or importer pays them, together with any applicable local collection or clearance charges.
DDU is commonly used for duty-unpaid delivery. DAP is the current Incoterms term commonly used for a similar arrangement; the confirmed booking sets out the applicable responsibilities.
